Last night my husband and I celebrated our five-year wedding anniversary. We went downtown and snagged some happy hour drinks in Belltown, a popular neighborhood of Seattle, and then went to The Melting Pot for delicious and way too filling dinner. The food was all so good and I ate way too much!
We then drove up to Kerry Park and enjoyed the city views. I highly recommend stopping by Kerry Park if you’re ever in Seattle. It offers some of the best views of downtown and Elliott Bay. It was so special being able to go out without our baby and to spend some time together as just the two of us.
I wanted to share this outfit I wore last night with you, since this top is so fun and I love the bow details on the sleeves. The top can be easily worn as a casual piece with jeans or dressed up for a night out with a skirt and wedges. I hope you have a great weekend!

Finally a new fashion post! Summer has flown by and while I love the Fall season I’m really going to miss the heat. However, I am excited for all things pumpkin and to put up some Autumn themed decor in the house.
Last weekend one of my best friends from college and I went shopping and we saw this jacket and immediately knew we had to have it. Both of us ended up falling in love with this military inspired jacket.
This jacket has been on repeat for the past couple of days. It’s really the perfect transitional Fall jacket. I wore this jacket for an impromptu date night at Greenlake and just had to snap a few pictures to share.

I hope you all had a restful and family filled Thanksgiving! We spent time with my husband’s family and mine as well throughout the weekend which was wonderful.
In other news, I finally found the merlot pants that I have been looking and looking for. I not only love the color of these pants, but also how they fit, so I bought them in two other colors as well and the pants are currently 40% off at The Limited!
What is your favorite merlot colored piece this season?

It’s official! We have started house hunting! I’m really excited but also nervous as the housing market in Seattle is extremely competitive. Fortunately we’re still really happy with the townhouse we are renting so we aren’t in any rush. Hopefully, we will get lucky and find a decent house in one of our preferred neighborhoods. Wish us luck!
While we went to open houses this past weekend, I wore this red and black wrap sweater that I found at Target (now on sale!). I originally saw someone share it on Instagram and knew immediately that I had to have it. I think it will work well into the holidays, especially with the pop of red.

I like dressing up, but in the Fall and Winter months it is definitely harder to do in the Seattle area due to the cold and near constant rain. However, a few years ago my aunt gave me a pair of Bootights for Christmas and have enjoyed dressing up a bit more ever since. These tights are wonderful. They have a sock portion attached to the tights so that they are more comfortable and durable for wearing with boots. And they keep my feet much warmer than normal tights! Like I mentioned before, I have had these tights for several years and have yet to get a tear or hole in them, which is pretty amazing.
But enough about the tights, I have to talk about this skirt as well. It’s such a fun structured piece that I happened onto last year while shopping with my mom. It was on sale at Madewell and I couldn’t pass it up. I love that it’s a higher waisted skirt and that it has pockets. A win-win in my book. Happy Wednesday!
On a side note, I typically would have the sock portion of the tights pulled down further, but I wanted for them to be visible for this post.
