This past weekend was special as we were able to spend Father’s Day with both sides of our family. My husband’s parents as well as my parents live on parts of Puget Sound so we were lucky enough to spend the weekend at the beach.
It’s still relatively cool around the Seattle area, especially near the water, so I opted for longer sleeves and jeans to stay warm and keep it casual for the weekend. I’m hoping we get some warmer weather here soon!
In the meantime, I’m enjoying this bright colored shirt. It’s from Aritzia which is one of my favorite stores. I just happened to walk into an Aritzia once in Whistler, Canada several years back and loved everything in the store. Unfortunately, back then there wasn’t an Aritzia in Seattle but in the past few years several have opened up in the Seattle area and I have been shopping there ever since. I like that they carry some unique brands that I haven’t been able to find in other US stores.
This top is on sale right now which doesn’t happen very often! The brand of the shirt is TNA and it’s one of my favorites. It definitely offers an edgier version of athleisure. I have several of these shirts in different colors and they are very soft and work well for layering.

A few weekends ago my husband and I drove out of the city and into the countryside. As much as I love the city and being a part of the hustle and bustle, it’s nice to see green fields and breathe some fresh air. Two years ago we happened onto a really great pumpkin patch at Craven Farm and decided to go back there again this year. Craven Farm is such a cute place and they have lots of activities for all ages.
When we went before, we had more time and walked through the corn maze. We did get lost a few times as the maze was actually pretty hard, but it was really fun as well! They also have pumpkin slingers, hay rides, food, and loads and loads of pumpkins. We lucked out on the weather and sipped hot cider while we picked out our pumpkin. I also took a few minutes to snap a few photos of my new favorite sweater.
I really like the black and cream wrap sweater that I picked up at Francesca’s. It is really warm and super comfortable and it can be dressed up or down. I think it will be a great addition to my wardrobe this Winter. Where do you like to shop for sweaters for the upcoming season?

The dress code for the business world in Seattle is definitely more casual than dressy. I do tend to wear jeans fairly regularly as I work in a very casual office, but I do try to dress them up a bit.
The black blazer is a great addition to any wardrobe. It can be dressed up or down. I like to pair it with jeans and a basic top so that I can add fun accessories to the outfit.
I came across this purse in H&M a month ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I just loved how classic of a piece it is. I went back to H&M last week an finally bought the purse. It has become my go to bag this Fall.
Also, the booties I’m wearing are my absolute favorite. I got them last year at Nordstrom and they were a staple all year and they will be again this year.
This outfit for me is a fun combination of style and comfort. How do you like to wear your blazers?
Jack couldn’t resist on participating in the photo shoot…

I am back from vacation and feeling refreshed! I have some travel inspired posts coming soon and can’t wait to share them with you all. But until then, here’s one final look at an end of Summer transition outfit.
I wore this a few Sundays ago to church and just had to share it. We’ve been so lucky to have such warm weather this late in the year and I’ve tried to take full advantage of it. These coral pants have been a staple in my wardrobe this summer and I hope to find a new pair of merlot colored pants to replace them for this Fall. What are you looking forward to wearing this Fall?

Yes a skort. I know, I know I’m sure you’re thinking that’s so nineties. However, I saw Giuliana Rancic wear one that was almost identical to it on E! News earlier this summer so I figured it couldn’t be out of style, right?
To be honest, I wasn’t really a big fan of skorts back in the nineties, but with the cute asymmetrical front panels on this skort it made it so fun I just couldn’t resist. This would also be a really easy outfit to dress up with a nice pair of wedges or heels.
I wore this over the weekend for my niece’s second birthday as it’s still been really hot here in the Pacific Northwest. No complaints here! I hope we get a few more hot days before the weather turns chilly again.
On a side note, the bracelet I’m wearing is my absolute favorite. My husband gave it to me for Christmas as he knows that I love sparkly things! It a great piece that works well dressed up or down. I hope you have a happy Wednesday!
